About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Modeler to join our team in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Quantitative Modeling, Python, and SQL, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize data models that support business-critical decision-making. This role requires working onsite 5 days a week and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models to support business needs.
- Apply quantitative modeling techniques to analyze data patterns and trends.
- Develop scripts and automation solutions using Python to streamline data workflows.
- Write optimized and complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure models align with organizational goals.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and scalability across systems.
- Participate in performance tuning, data quality checks, and troubleshooting.
- Document data models, processes, and methodologies for reference and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical).
- Strong hands-on experience with Quantitative Modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
- Advanced SQL skills (query optimization, stored procedures, joins, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and onsite environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies.
