Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven BI SQL Developer for a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA. This role requires working onsite 3 days a week and is open to W2 candidates only. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong SQL development skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and performance-tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL or T-SQL scripts.
- Perform end-to-end data validation and ensure delivery of high-quality, accurate datasets.
- Evaluate business requirements, conduct Proof of Concept (POC) testing, and identify anomalies in source systems.
- Use scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Unix shell, or Python) to automate batch processes.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience with database development using SQL, PL/SQL (Packages, Stored Procedures, Triggers).
- Strong experience in dimensional modeling and schema design (Star, Snowflake, SCD).
- Proven expertise in SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
- Ability to handle ad-hoc requests and work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
