Job Description

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our LC mass spectrometry data acquisition team, contributing to the development of next-generation software solutions that address both current market demands and anticipated future requirements. Leveraging your expertise within a focused Scrum team, you will translate customer needs into user stories, design practical solutions, conduct task breakdowns and estimations, and implement features aligned with product development lifecycle expectations. Your technical proficiency will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and success of our products, thereby supporting our overall business objectives.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the development of LCMS Quadrupole driver software as part of a Scrum team
  • Collaborating with other technical leaders on related software components and features
  • Working closely with Hardware/Firmware teams to define, design, and implement system interfaces
  • Engaging with multiple Data System teams to establish system and user interfaces
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field
  • Demonstrated history of successful project delivery and adherence to timelines
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in hands-on software design and development; at least 2 years utilizing C# (or C++) and Microsoft .NET tools
  • Proficiency with object-oriented programming and design patterns in C# (or C++)
  • Experience with projects involving real-time systems, multi-threading, and user experience considerations
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • WPF with MVVM design experience is advantageous
  • Experience with software localization, regulated/audited environments, or chromatographic data systems is considered an asset
  • Background in mass spectrometry, data acquisition, data analysis, medical or instrumentation products is beneficial
  • Embedded programming experience is a plus
