Job Details

Title: Structural Data Center Design Engineer (RDCC Engineer)

Location: Remote but minimal travel to NY/VA or TX is required.

Contract Length: 12 months contract (Possibility of extension)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Must Have an active RCDD Certification.
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering, computer science, related field, and or technical training.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • A minimum of ten years experience preparing structured cabling designs in a data center environment, with commercial infrastructure experience desirable (tenant fit-out).
  • Strong background in IT service delivery role (i.e. engineering support for projects).
  • Has participated in the design and/or implementation of major IT projects.
  • Experience in process re-engineering efforts (ITIL, Six Sigma, MOF/MSF, etc.) is a plus.
  • Conversant with relevant ISO/IEC, CENELEC, and BICSI structured cabling standards, and a working familiarity with how these standards are implemented in various regions (US, CALA, EMEA, Asia Pac).
  • RCDD certification is REQUIRED and must be active.
  • Working competence with modifying designs to meet customer-driven requirements and to accommodate unique installation challenges.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Visio is desirable.
  • Management experience is desirable.
  • Conversant in the English language.
  • Proficiency in other languages is desirable.

Must Have:

  • Looking for a RDCC Engineer. RDCC cert is a plus.
  • A strong Structural Data Center Design experience RDCC cert is a huge plus!
  • Ideally someone with extensive data center background.
