Job Details




A recognized media & entertainment company is seeking a UX Consultant to support a new AI-powered content search and discovery platform. This is a part-time, 10-12-week contract role based in New York City (hybrid). The consultant will lead the design of a scalable, video-centric UI and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline creative and marketing workflows.

Responsibilities



  • Design and prototype a responsive web UI for AI-powered semantic search, video preview, and clip export

  • Develop a reusable design system and style guide for long-term scalability

  • Conduct user research and define UX success criteria

  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to align UX with backend capabilities

  • Translate complex AI processes into intuitive user experiences

  • Deliver UX research summaries, wireframes, UI kits, and developer-ready specs


Qualifications



  • 6+ years in UX/UI design, including enterprise or SaaS applications

  • Experience with AI search, media workflows, or DAM/MAM systems

  • Strong UX thinking for workflow efficiency and scalable design

  • Proficiency with Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Understanding of video-centric workflows and metadata-driven editing

  • Ability to balance MVP delivery with scalable system planning


Desired Skills



  • Familiarity with AWS (OpenSearch, Bedrock, S3)

  • Experience with media rights workflows and tools like Cortex, Dalet, or Runway ML

  • Understanding of UX for LLM chatbots, generative media tools, or analytics dashboards

  • Background in media, entertainment, or broadcast industries
