Location: Deerfield Beach, FL 33442

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) to oversee and manage a variety of surveying projects across South and Central Florida. This role requires a strong background in land surveying (field and office), exceptional communication skills, and the ability to coordinate large-scale projects, field crews, and office staff efficiently.

You will serve as the primary point of contact between project managers, clients, and field teams while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily scheduling of survey field crews and office support staff.
Perform field duties and assist with utility locating as needed.
Act as the main liaison between survey managers, project managers, clients, and field crews.
Review work orders, proposals, and project requirements for accuracy and successful execution.
Track project timelines and ensure timely delivery of survey services.
Perform office and field calculations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during survey operations.
Assist in drafting task orders and organizing project files.
Certify surveys as required.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of survey terminology, processes, and documentation.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Trimble Business Center preferred.
Ability to read and interpret utility maps, engineering plans, and field markings.
Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

Active Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper License (PSM).
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
High school diploma or GED required.
Fluent in English.
