Job Details

A high-growth technology organization at the forefront of autonomous systems and advanced sensing is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design and integration of next-generation radar sensor solutions. This is a high-impact hybrid role that blends deep technical execution with system-level ownership, supporting both defense and commercial autonomy platforms.

You'll take the lead on architecting complex embedded radar systems, ensuring technical integrity from concept through deployment-all while navigating the demands of compliance, documentation, and rigorous systems engineering practices.

This role is built for engineers who thrive in technically sophisticated environments where radar expertise, disciplined process thinking, and cross-functional coordination converge. If you're driven by innovation but grounded in structure, this is your opportunity to shape mission-critical technology in a fast-moving, regulated domain.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience in radar, embedded sensing, defense, or autonomy platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage detailed engineering artifacts across requirements, interface definitions, test plans, and compliance documentation (e.g., ITAR/EAR, cybersecurity)
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience working within structured environments using DOORS or equivalent requirements management tools
  • Familiarity with configuration management systems and defense or aerospace documentation standards
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks such as INCOSE SE Handbook or IEEE systems engineering standards
Daily Responsibilities
  • Hands-On Engineering: 60%
  • Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: 40%

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the hiring process as required under Motion Recruitment's Employment Accommodation policy. Applicants need to make their needs known in advance.
