Job Description:

1. Salesforce Order Management (SOM) Expertise Primary Focus

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the SOM data model and core objects such as:

  • Fulfilment Orders

  • Order Summaries

  • Payment Authorizations

  • Return Orders

  • Inventory Reservations

  • Manage the entire order lifecycle, from capture to fulfilment, cancellation, and returns.

  • Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, and test coverage related to order processing, inventory updates, and payment logic.

  • Implement custom exception handling, logging, and asynchronous job monitoring.

  • Build and enhance UIs using Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura for customer service or order management workflows.

  • Monitor and debug API integrations between SOM and external systems (ERP, shipping, tax, and payment processors).

  • Utilize Named Credentials, External Services, and custom REST/SOAP integrations for secure connectivity.

  • Proactively resolve order lifecycle failures, including fulfilment exceptions, payment issues, and inventory mismatches.

2. Salesforce B2C Commerce (SFCC) Checkout Integration Secondary Focus

  • Support and troubleshoot checkout and service layer integrations between SFCC and SOM.

  • Understand and manage OCAPI or custom service definitions for order and customer data handoff.

  • Review and adjust Business Manager configurations, site preferences, and service credentials.

  • Perform payload and log analysis to debug failures between SFCC and SOM.

  • Identify whether issues originate in SFCC or SOM, and drive or escalate resolutions accordingly.

3. Cross-Functional and Support Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end troubleshooting across Salesforce and SFCC environments.

  • Maintain comprehensive support documentation, including known issues, escalation paths, and key system behaviors.

  • Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, support teams, and third-party vendors to resolve operational issues.

  • Utilize Agile tools (Jira, ServiceNow) for tracking tickets, managing backlog, and handling production incidents.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of Salesforce development and architecture experience, with at least 3 years focused on Salesforce B2B Commerce or SOM.

  • Hands-on expertise in:

  • Salesforce Order Management (SOM)

  • Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura

  • Apex, SOQL, and API integration (REST/SOAP)

  • SFCC (Salesforce B2C Commerce) particularly checkout flows and OCAPI integrations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across multi-system environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when collaborating with business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified B2B Commerce Developer or Salesforce Order Management Consultant.

  • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, payment, and logistics systems.

  • Exposure to CI/CD, Git-based deployments, and DevOps tooling.

  • Familiarity with PWA Kit / SFRA frameworks for Salesforce B2C Commerce.
