Job Title: Project Manager

Location: 2-3 days/week on-site Raleigh-Durham, NC

Duration: 12+ months, likely renews

Employment Type: W2 Contract, weekly direct deposit, benefit options, paid for hours worked

Pay Range: W2 $50-55/hr

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to drive cross-functional and cloud backend engineering projects. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with Engineering Program Managers, Engineering, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams to shepherd a variety of programs and projects that drive customer and service assurance. Our goal is to deliver high-quality experiences through data-driven improvement programs-on time and with outstanding results.

What Youll Do:
  • Manage technical and strategic cross-functional projects
  • Build and drive project plans with well-managed dependencies and internal stakeholder alignment
  • Execute and supervise project deliverables, achievements, action items, technical dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Work with engineering and program leaders to define priorities
  • Understand product use cases and communicate with engineering and product teams
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to best understand and deliver on business goals and priorities
  • Prepare project status reports and executive briefings for various partner groups
  • Plan, manage, and monitor high-level project communications
  • Adhere to metrics and governance for process and drive process improvements


Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Technical Project Manager, 5+ years
  • Ability to translate the needs of a team (technical or otherwise) into projects that drive action
  • Ability to manage projects from beginning to end
  • Successful track record of timely delivery of projects
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines
  • Appetite for rapid changes and comfort with navigating through uncertain or ambiguous situations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient
  • Openness to new ideas and willingness to innovate
  • Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and comfortably speak in front of groups
  • Experience within or partnering with Support organizations
  • Ability to develop business relationships
  • Strong project communication management
  • Basic working knowledge of agile principles and the ability to work proficiently in an agile software environment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with project planning tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint)
  • 3-5 years of experience in datacenter migrations and application deployment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with building complex deployment plans with a focus on execution, gap analysis, and risk mitigation
  • Ability to navigate cross-functional teams and identify and remediate priority and dependency concerns


Nice to Have:
  • Agile certifications or training (Certified ScrumMaster (CSM ), Release Train Engineer (RTE), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe ), etc.) or PMP for project management
