Position: Level 3 Data Center Technician

Location: Onsite
Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & every other Wednesday | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-time Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our IT operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Level 1 and Level 2 tasks as needed, including server and switch installation, cabling, and hardware inspections
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server issues, including break-fix tasks and component replacements
  • Deploy and configure GPUs in servers, ensuring optimal performance
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and ticket resolution
  • Serve as liaison between team members and management
  • Lead and prioritize workload across the team
  • Review and validate build documentation prior to project execution
  • Direct build activities and ensure alignment with data center standards
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
  • Monitor project timelines and provide updates to project managers
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in a hyperscale data center environment
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and server hardware
  • Experience with GPU deployment and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and safely climb ladders
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Server+, or CCENT certifications
  • CCNA or MCP/MSCE certifications preferred
  • Experience with Windows OS
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Experience with structured cabling, rack and stack, fiber, and optical testing
  • Understanding of storage devices and ITIL Framework
  • Experience managing tasks through a ticketing system
  • Strong grasp of Network Fundamentals (OSI Layers 1-3)
  • Experience installing and terminating copper and fiber optic cabling

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
