Network Administrator

We are looking to fill a long-term Contract role as Network Administrator

Mode of Interview: Webcam/ In Person

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Work Location: Columbia, SC

Shift: EST

Required Qualifications:

• Infrastructure Management: Design, install, configure, and manage all core network components, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, access points, and dedicated firewalls (Cisco preferred).
• System Administration: Oversee enterprise server environments, including configuration and maintenance of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Network Security: Implement, monitor, and enforce comprehensive network security policies. This includes managing VPN access, intrusion detection systems, content filtering, and adhering to state and federal security compliance standards for protected health information (PHI).
• Performance & Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive optimization strategies to guarantee maximum uptime and efficient data flow.
• Support & Documentation: Provide expert-level (Tier 3) support for complex network issues. Develop and maintain accurate documentation of network topology, hardware inventory, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in network administration or engineering within a medium-to-large scale enterprise environment.
• Proven technical proficiency with advanced TCP/IP networking, routing protocols, and enterprise network hardware configuration.
• Familiarity with public sector data security requirements and compliance best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified
• Windows Server Hybrid Administrator.
