Description
We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our team in Torrance, California. This is a part-time contract position ideal for a creative, detail-oriented individual who excels in producing high-quality visual designs for print and digital platforms. The role involves designing technical artwork, creating engaging infographics, and maintaining consistency across extensive documents while collaborating with project teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop visually appealing artwork and presentation materials that align with organizational branding and quality standards.
Prepare designs for both print and digital delivery, ensuring accuracy and readiness for production.
Collaborate with authors, editors, and proofreaders to meet deadlines and achieve project milestones.
Translate complex technical information into user-friendly charts, diagrams, and infographics.
Ensure all final drafts meet production schedules and maintain high quality standards.
Communicate project updates and feedback effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Uphold consistency and precision in typography, formatting, and layout throughout lengthy documents.
Contribute to ad hoc design tasks as needed to support organizational goals.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design and print production.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design within a publishing or print production environment, with a focus on detail-oriented work.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Strong skills in typography, layout design, and composition.
Demonstrated ability to create compelling infographics and simplify technical data for broader audiences.
Familiarity with print and digital production processes and industry standards.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free deliverables.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
