Job Title: Structural Analysis Engineer (Entry-Level)

Location: Ridley Park, PA
Job Summary:
Seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to perform limited structural analysis using established engineering tools and methodologies to validate and verify aerospace systems and components. The role includes testing and substantiation efforts to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, working under close supervision while gaining expertise in structural engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct classical and finite element analysis (FEA) to assess component reliability and compliance with specifications.
  • Support test validation activities, ensuring aerospace structures meet required performance and safety standards.
  • Contribute to failure analysis efforts and recommend design improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to enhance methodologies and optimize analysis techniques.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports for regulatory compliance and program substantiation.
Project Scope / Day-to-Day Activities:
The design center plays a critical role in aerospace programs, supporting major projects such as commercial and defense aircraft, autonomous systems, and space exploration. Stress analysts are responsible for structural substantiation efforts across these high-impact programs.
Required Hard Skills:
  • Structural analysis experience with a strong foundation in classical and finite element analysis methods.
  • Proficiency in FEA tools for aerospace component validation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply engineering principles to structural integrity assessments.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with proprietary analysis tools.
  • Experience in aerospace structural analysis methodologies.
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience).
  • In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
