Job Details

Responsibilities:
o Experience working in cloud platform (AWS)
o Perform installation, maintenance, and upgrades of Atlassian Tools such as Jira and Confluence
and DevSecOps Tools such as GitHub, SonarQube
o Perform system monitoring and maintenance, including system administration primarily
Amazon and Linux systems.
o Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure, including reviewing system
and application logs.
o Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system
administration tasks.
o Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting.
o Database experience is a plus. PostgreSQL and MySQL Database administration skills are
preferred.
o LDAP integration experience.
o Support, maintain, and troubleshoot production issues or alerts.
o Apply Operating System patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative
tools and utilities.
o Conduct analysis including Plugins to determine best version to upgrade tools.
o Performs testing in non-production environments, deployment in Production followed by testing
in Production.
o Explore, test and provide recommendations for using new plugins to meet project requirements.
o Collaborates with other team members for creating solutions for new requirements
o Coordinate with other teams such as Infrastructure/Cloud, Security, Site Reliability Engineers,
Administrators, Network Operations (OPS), Incidence Response Teams (IRT),
Penetration/Security testing teams.
o Assist other Administrators and/or Engineers when requested.
o Work with Atlassian Support team and/or Atlassian Add-on marketplace team members to
resolve any security issues, upgrades, or any other types of issues.
o Monitor all issues and escalate issue to appropriate teams or coordinate to ensure effective
resolution.
o Ensure compliance with security regulations of client environments.
o Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of
improvement.
o Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques.
o Communicate and share knowledge with internal and external contacts at all levels.
o Manage multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines.
o Creates custom projects in JIRA with complex workflows, reports, permission schemes etc. to
meet business needs.
o Creates test cases and generates test reports for testing Atlassian Tools and enhancements.
o Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements for new JIRA projects and
enhancements.
o Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and JIRA administration.
o Task Scheduling: Schedule tasks using software support tools and scripts to automate
routine processes and improve efficiency.
o Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to system users, addressing
inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance on system usage.


Qualifications
o Bachelor s degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
o 4+ years of pure system administration experience in AWS environment.
o Experience in performing installations, migrations, and plugin installation, a must.
o LDAP integration experience.
o Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills, and the ability to apply creative engineering
and analytical skills to resolve system problems.
o Knowledge of MFA, VPN and forced tunneling in AWS environments.
o Clear, professional communication skills, experience in communicating with users, and able to
contribute to team discussions.
o Experience implementing and customizing JIRA projects with various schemes, complex
workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes is a plus.
o Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Linux, a plus.
o Amazon Cloud Certification and any other DevOps Certification, a plus.
o Atlassian Tools certification, a plus.
o Knowledge of Splunk administration and configuration, a plus.
o Strong analytical skills.
o Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment.
o Must have strong work ethic with good time management skills.
