Responsibilities
- You will split your time between software engineering and cybersecurity.
- You will design and maintain automation, tools, and integrations for security operations, enhance secure coding practices, and implement security controls in CI/CD pipelines.
- You will also lead monitoring, vulnerability management, system hardening, and compliance tasks, collaborating with IT and development teams to improve security posture.
- Develop and maintain advanced scripts, tools, and automation for security tasks. Contribute to and review secure software projects. Integrate static analysis, dependency scanning, and secrets detection into CI/CD.
- Monitor and investigate SIEM/EDR alerts, perform and track vulnerability scans, apply security baselines, and enforce access controls.
- Support compliance initiatives (NIST 800-171, 800-53, FedRAMP) and assist in incident response.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years in software development, DevSecOps, or cybersecurity.
- Proficient in one or more languages (Python, C#, Java, or C++).
- Experienced with Git, secure coding, CI/CD, networking, Windows/Linux, and security tools (EDR, SIEM, scanners).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP). CompTIA Security+ required; CySA+, CASP+, or equivalent preferred.
- U.S. citizen with active or ability to obtain Secret clearance.
