We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in accounting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, proficiency in SQL and Excel, and a thorough understanding of accounting processes. As a technical business analyst, you will collaborate closely with the accounting and finance teams to manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes as well as ensure compliance with SOX regulations. Provide analysis and reporting for financial entries from point of sale to accounting systems for corporate and franchise locations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in related field.

• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.

• Proven experience as a Technical Analyst or similar role.

• 3-5 years Business Analyst experience with financial systems.

• Intermediate level in SQL queries / PostgreSQL experience an asset.

• Power BI experience an asset.

• Experience with SOX compliance requirements, controls, and audit procedures.

• Intermediate experience in Jira/Confluence or similar story management tool

• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Applications.

• Functional analysis and strong writing skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings, explain technical concepts, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proven track record of driving process improvements, implementing automation solutions, and enhancing data quality and integrity.

• Retail/Rent to own knowledge a plus.
