Role Overview

The Enterprise Architect will support architecture and governance programs within the Digital Modernization s Office of Enterprise Architecture. This technical role focuses on the development, governance, and oversight of the Digital Ecosystem reference architecture, including application management, data synthesis, user enablement, and secure foundations.

Key Technical Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Architecture Frameworks:
    Define, update, and document architectural frameworks, patterns, standards, and guidelines for the Digital Ecosystem. Produce and maintain detailed as-is and to-be architecture diagrams.
  • Technology Roadmap & Solution Design:
    Translate business requirements into technology roadmaps. Lead the design, selection, and implementation of technology solutions throughout the lifecycle (from identification to decommissioning).
  • Enterprise Architecture Governance:
    Establish and enforce governance standards for technology implementation, covering both commercial and custom solutions, across on-premises and cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) environments.
  • Cloud Architecture:
    Engineer and architect solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Azure, ensuring integration with enterprise platforms and adherence to security and compliance standards.
  • Data Management & Governance:
    Implement and support data governance policies, standards, and roles. Architect and manage data solutions, pipelines, and lakes to treat data as an enterprise asset.
  • Modern Technology Integration:
    Utilize and integrate modern software/cloud technologies such as containers, data pipelines, data lakes, CI/CD, integration platforms, DevSecOps, and zero trust architectures.
  • Enterprise Application Platforms:
    Architect and support integrations with platforms such as PeopleSoft, Oracle Fusion, Adobe Experience Platform, ServiceNow, and Power Platform.
  • Performance Metrics:
    Define and assess technical performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of architectural and governance initiatives.
  • Technical Documentation:
    Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, standards, policies, and procedures in accordance with best practices.

  • Ability to independently manage technical workstreams and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments.

Note: This role is strictly technical and requires demonstrated expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud engineering, data management, and integration of modern enterprise platforms. Soft skills are secondary to proven technical capabilities and hands-on experience.
