Must have Paralegal certification
Must have litigation experience, "corporate litigation" is a huge plus. (managed care, healthcare, or health plan background)
Litigation skills: Document review, legal documents, strong writing skills
Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in a health plan or health care organization setting handling complex assignments relating to regulatory, public law or health care issues
Experience to avoid: no family law or personal injury law. These areas of law experience are not relevant.
J Education Requirements: Required: Bachelor s Degree (or equivalent experience)
Preferred: Master s Degree
Experience Requirements: Required:
3+ years paralegal experience in healthcare or health plan setting
OR 5+ years experience with public agency regulations (e.g., Brown Act, HIPAA, CMS, Medi-Cal)
Experience in highly regulated industries
Preferred:
7+ years paralegal experience in vendor/provider contracts or administrative law
Experience in matter/project management
