We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong functional and technical expertise in Derivatives Trading, FIX Protocols, and Capital Markets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in supporting and enhancing mission-critical trading platforms and will work closely with business users, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless operations across production and pre-production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L1/L2/L3 application support for trading and order management systems in the Capital Markets domain.
Handle incidents, requests, and root-cause analysis for systems related to Derivatives, RFQ, and Order/Trading protocols (FIX and others).
Manage and monitor message queues using RabbitMQ and perform advanced SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for deployment and automation using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
Utilize ELK Stack and other monitoring tools for proactive system analysis and log management.
Develop scripts using Python, Perl, TCL, or other scripting languages for automation and operational efficiency.
Perform system administration and support across Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
Participate in all SDLC phases inception, analysis, design, runtime, maintenance, and production support.
Ensure high system availability, reliability, and compliance with internal SLAs and audit standards.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
5 10 years of experience in Application Support within Capital Markets or Investment Banking environments.
Strong knowledge of Derivatives Trading, FIX Protocols, and order workflows (Order, RFQ, Trading).
Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, SQL, CI/CD tools (Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes, and ELK Stack.
Proficiency in Unix/Linux, Windows, and scripting languages (Python, TCL, Perl).
Exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) preferred.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Nice to Have:
Experience working directly with Front Office trading teams or electronic trading systems.
Understanding of ITIL processes and production change management.
