A Program Director responsible for transitioning a very large multi-million IT support engagement is tasked with leading and overseeing all aspects of the transition, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timely delivery, and budget compliance. This role demands excellence in team leadership, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and risk mitigation throughout the transformation process.
Core Responsibilities
· Drive and oversee program-wide transformation initiatives, ensuring outcomes meet organizational goals.
· Develop strategic plans, set goals for the transition, and manage dependencies and risks.
· Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical, operational, and support staff, to execute transition activities smoothly.
· Ensure effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, keeping everyone informed on progress, health, and risk status.
· Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management for successful engagement execution.
Key Duties
· Lead large group discussions, answer questions, and remedy complaints to support the transition process.
· Build strong teams through mentorship, transparent communication, and collaborative decision-making.
· Identify, assess, and mitigate transition-related risks, resolving bottlenecks proactively.
· Monitor program performance, prepare reports, and brief executive leadership on status and outcomes.
· Establish delivery practices, frameworks, and standard operating procedures tailored to large-scale IT support transitions.
Required Skills
· Proven experience managing large IT support transitions, preferably involving multi-million-dollar engagements.
· Prior exposure with ECM(Enterprise Content Management) tools like Open Text, File.
· Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication abilities to align diverse teams on shared goals.
· Expertise in project management methodologies, change management, and technical troubleshooting.
· Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities or evolving business needs.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
· Minimum 5 years in IT management, program leadership, or equivalent experience overseeing large-scale transitions.
