Job Details

Title: Analysing Technician/Bench Diagnostic Technician

Location: 415 E. Exchange Parkway, Allen, TX

Interview Format: 45-minute onsite interview

Contract Duration: 60 days (with potential extension based on performance and budget)

Physical Requirements: Sitting role; must be able to lift 10 50 lbs

Shift time: 6AM - 2:30PM

Position Overview:

The Bench Diagnostic Technician II will be part of the only North America repair and refurbished manufacturing center for Client's DVR systems and peripherals. This team is responsible for high-level diagnostics and additional troubleshooting beyond standard failure analysis. This is a non-soldering role focused on identifying root causes of electronic failures using test stations and diagnostic tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic failures down to the component level

Use test stations and diagnostic tools to evaluate Mobile/Fixed Video systems

Interpret schematics, engineering documents, and inspection reports

Communicate findings with Engineering and Customer Service teams

Prepare diagnostic reports and recommend repair/replacement actions

Operate within SAP for defect tracking and resolution

Support multiple product lines through cross-training and process flexibility

Minimum Requirements:

4 7 years of diagnostics experience with analog and digital circuit boards

Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to identify root causes

Experience with burn-in and functional test processes

Familiarity with digital electronics including microcontrollers, memory, FPGAs, and low-power signals

Knowledge of ESD practices and safe handling procedures

Ability to read schematics and trace components on PCBAs

Basic understanding of computers, networking, MAC IDs, and IP addresses

IPC 610 or J-STD soldering training/certification preferred but not required

Education:

High school diploma or GED (required)

Associate degree or higher in a related technical field (preferred)
