Job Description

Responsibilities
As a Junior Power Systems Engineer, you'll work closely with senior engineers to:
Assist in the development and definition of new power architectures for Oracle's data centers, focusing on efficiency and reliability.
Support the specification, evaluation, and qualification of key power components, including Battery Backup Units (BBUs), Power Supply Units (PSUs), and rack-mounted Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as hardware design and mechanical engineering, to integrate power solutions into data center designs.
Conduct hands-on testing in the lab, including setting up experiments and collecting data.
Suggest and develop new test methodologies and procedures to thoroughly evaluate power systems and components.
Document test results meticulously, analyze data, and generate reports.
Perform routine lab maintenance, including equipment calibration and organization.
Assist in building and modifying test equipment as needed for specific experiments.
Participate in fault finding and root cause analysis of power-related issues encountered in deployed data center environments.
Support the project management of OEM developments, including tracking progress, assisting with technical reviews, and coordinating communication with vendors.
Research industry trends and emerging technologies in power electronics and data center infrastructure.
Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and best practices for power systems.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $70,600 to $141,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
