Oracle Utilities Developer

About the Role:

We’re looking for a seasoned Oracle Utilities Developer to provide hands-on production support for our Power Billing application in a dynamic wholesale energy environment. This role demands deep expertise in Oracle Utilities Billing Component v1.6.x and strong proficiency in debugging and enhancing custom code written in Rules Language. The ideal candidate brings solid experience in retail or wholesale energy billing and understands the intricacies of major bill determinants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and maintenance for Oracle Utilities Power Billing systems
• Debug and enhance customizations written in Rules Language
• Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and Pro*C code for billing operations
• Manage batch processing and automation using DOS scripts
• Work with ITRON IEE client for Meter Data Management (MDM)
• Maintain and enhance reporting tools using Actuate eReport Designer and Access VBA macros
• Ensure compliance with SOX regulations in financial data handling
• Contribute to team collaboration and uphold coding standards and documentation

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Utilities Billing Component v1.6.x
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL programming skills
• Pro*C programming experience
• Expertise in MDM using ITRON IEE client
• 6+ years in a technical support role within retail or wholesale power billing
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with DOS scripting and batch processing
• Moderate experience with Access VBA and Actuate eReport Designer
• Attention to detail and adherence to regulatory standards
• Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements
• This is a full-time W2 role, not C2C

Preferred qualifications:

• Proficiency in Perl and/or PowerShell scripting
