Job Description:

Parsons is hiring an Information System Security Officer to join our team of cyber protectors! We provide information system security support to our Intelligence Community (IC) customer. ISSOs at Parsons are responsible for providing day-to-day system security operations for an information system. In addition, you'll maintain effective communications with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information System Owner, Authorizing Official (AO) or Delegated Authorizing Official (DAO), Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), and the Security Control Assessor (SCA).

The right candidate will have a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures. In addition to your technical acumen, being able to demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, sound judgement, and effective interpersonal skills will ensure success in this role and growing your career!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Security oversight for RMF controls and physical space security
  • Strong knowledge or RMF controls.
  • Review technical configurations and make recommendations on the protection of classified and sensitive data
  • Forensics chain of custody and evidentiary preservation
  • Guide complex information systems through assessment and authorization (A&A) control gates
  • Establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with government and contractor program managers, security professionals, and mission partners
  • Managing implementations of technology in support of STIGs, CONOPS, POA&M to maintain security/regulatory and corporate policies/compliance requirements
  • Ability to run and read Security Scans and act on issues found.
  • Perform proactive assessments ad testing/validation of controls against self-auditing

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Active TS/SCI w/polygraph required
  • Security + Certification
  • Minimum 9 years of security related experience as an ISSO or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • CASP, CISSP or other security certifications

Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph

Salary Range:
$140,700.00 - $253,300.00
