Title: IAM Program Manager
Location: Oakland, CA, (Onsite-Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Position Overview:
This Program Manager will lead a comprehensive analysis of identity and access management capabilities used for delivery of systemwide authentication and identify verification across the UC system.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce systemwide assessment reports and recommendations for:
A Systemwide Authentication Program to deliver unified Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication solutions.
A Systemwide Identity Verification Tool to reduce credential fraud and improve user trust.
These initiatives will require the candidate:
Lead analysis of IAM practices and tools across UC locations and industry wide.
Develop assessment frameworks, gap analyses, and propose implementation plans.
Coordinate interviews with IAM teams, CISOs, CTOs, and IT leaders.
Analyze vendor solutions.
Present findings to UCOP leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Experience leading IAM assessments or implementations.
Deep understanding of IAM concepts (SSO, MFA, federation, lifecycle).
Strong analytical and requirements-gathering skills.
Experience building governance models.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Familiarity with IAM vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:

Level: Senior/Engineer - The right candidate must have demonstrated technical expertise with IAM and be comfortable leading through ambiguity and building consensus among high-level IT leaders at each UC location.
