We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst for our client in Toronto, ON

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, estimate requirements, and perform technical/system analysis.
  • Lead requirements gathering activities to align with business priorities.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships throughout the product life cycle.
  • Write business and technical documentation, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with QA teams on test strategy and execution.
  • Define product backlog, sprint backlog, and user stories.
  • Plan and manage change for product life cycle initiatives.
  • Develop training materials and end-user documentation.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, trends, and insurance industry best practices.
  • Lead data PODs and drive solutions to meet business needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
  • Strong technical background with data modeling, data analysis, and SQL query writing.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and a product mindset approach.
  • Ability to interact with business and technology stakeholders clearly and courteously.
  • Advanced decision-making, problem-solving, and sound judgment.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, including Claims Processing, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Billing, and Policy/Forms generation (preferred).
Experience:
  • 6 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
  • Experience in Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Prior experience with property and casualty insurance is preferred.
Qualification and Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
