BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Program Manager III for an Onsite opportunity.



Position Title: Technical Program Manager II


Location: Onsite/ Remote


Anticipated Start Date: Sept 2025

Job Type: Contract - [FULL TIME (40 Hours a week)]


Pay Range: $85.73/hr-$90.48/hr

Position Overview


The client is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to lead and coordinate early-stage game development projects from concept to vertical slice production. This role supports multiple game concepts in a highly creative, greenfield environment, providing significant freedom to innovate in gameplay concepts, user experience, and development workflows. The successful candidate will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and quality milestones.



Key Responsibilities



  • Manage day-to-day production tasks across multiple teams (design, engineering, art, QA) to meet project milestones

  • Support early-stage development activities including brainstorming and rapid prototyping of game features and mechanics

  • Facilitate communication among team members and across disciplines by preparing documentation and organizing meetings

  • Track tasks, maintain detailed schedules, and monitor project progress; identify and resolve roadblocks proactively

  • Assist in playtesting, feedback collection, and iterative refinement of game features

  • Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities while helping the team maintain focus and productivity

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and creative team environment

  • Provide input on process improvements to optimize workflows and development efficiency

  • Stay current with industry trends, especially in AR/VR, and bring innovative ideas to the team

  • Manage risk by identifying potential production issues and implementing mitigation strategies



Required Qualifications



  • 2-4 year's experience in game production or a related field within the game industry

  • Proven project management skills with strong organizational abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Familiarity with the full game development lifecycle - design, programming, art, and testing

  • Experience with early-stage game development and prototyping

  • Proficiency using project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, and Slack/Workchat

  • Passion for video games and a solid understanding of industry best practices

  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and unexpected challenges



Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)



  • Experience or familiarity with AR/VR technologies and immersive game development

  • Knowledge of AI technologies applicable to gameplay mechanics, content generation, or development tools

  • Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies in game production

  • Proactive problem-solving skills to address challenges before impacting delivery
