Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader ready to drive productivity, safety, and continuous improvement in a high-energy food manufacturing environment? We're seeking one dedicated Plant Manufacturing Manager to join a dynamic organization known for precision, innovation, and a commitment to quality. If you thrive on developing people, optimizing processes, and delivering results-this is your chance to step into a pivotal role where every day brings real impact.

Hours & Pay:

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Daily Tasks:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize production plans-including weekly and shift schedules, line assignments, and batch sizing-to meet demand and drive efficiency.

  • Monitor key performance indicators, including throughput, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), cycle times, and process efficiency; identify bottlenecks and take corrective action.

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations covering dough mixing and packaging; ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, batch traceability, lot control, and food-safety compliance.

  • Enforce and maintain HACCP, GMP, FSMA/regulatory requirements, and allergen controls. Implement and monitor quality checks (weights, dimensions, moisture, bake colour, internal temperature) and manage hold procedures for out-of-spec products.

  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives for quality incidents; drive continuous improvement projects including kaizen, 5S, waste reduction, cycle-time reduction, and process standardisation.

  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental programmes: conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, promote a safety-first culture, and ensure compliance with OSHA and food-facility safety standards.

  • Provide ongoing training on SOPs, HACCP, allergen controls, sanitary practices, and equipment operation; maintain training records and ensure new-hire onboarding covers critical food-safety requirements.

  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits; implement corrective actions and ensure compliance with customer specifications, weight tolerances, packaging formats, allergen declarations, and labelling.

  • Monitor cost-control metrics: productivity, scrap, yield loss, energy usage; identify cost-saving measures. Assist in budgeting for labour, materials, and maintenance; manage overtime to stay within budget.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D/Product Development teams on new-product scale-up trials, validate processes, and support sales/customer service regarding product specifications, production capabilities, and lead times.

Requirements - Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required; High School Diploma/GED minimum.

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a hands-on Plant Manufacturing Manager with full operating P&L responsibility in a manufacturing setting.

  • At least 3+ years' experience specifically in a food manufacturing facility managing a team of 20+ hourly employees.

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP food-safety programmes, GMP, allergen control, and regulatory compliance.

  • A high degree of computer literacy (Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Word) is required; familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus.

  • Proven track record of boosting productivity through Lean manufacturing and operational-excellence techniques (kaizen, 5S, waste reduction).

  • Strong leadership presence, able to multitask, make decisions in ambiguous situations, influence and motivate teams, and maintain performance under pressure.

Benefits:

You will join a company that values your expertise and invests in your success. The benefits package is robust and designed to support your well-being, professional growth, and financial security.
