RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer in Juno Beach, FL.
Summary:
We are looking for skilled developer with the expertise in all the aspects of DevSecOps process. You will be a part of the team which is tasked with an implementation of companywide software delivery platform - a scalable, transparent solution which eliminates the need for most of the DevSecOps work for company development teams, freeing them to bring more business value.
This position assesses, mentors, designs, develops, integrates and troubleshoots technology to support business processes. Employees provide technical or functional guidance to project or work teams, as needed within specific or multiple disciplines. This position is accountable for ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems, as well as ensuring that excellent technical support services are provided.
Responsibilities:
* Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes, and enhances existing or new systems
* Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology to manage development activities
* Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
* Participates in the change management and service ticket management processes including receiving, resolution monitoring, and ensuring customer satisfaction
* Designs, develops, and tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames
* Ensures that applications processes are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation
* Act as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required
* Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Excellent knowledge of GitHub; GitHub actions; GitHub copilot
* Extensive experience with AWS development
* Extensive knowledge in EKS
* Apigee
* Docker
* Nexus
* Backstage
* Node.JS/TypeScript experience
* Understanding of DevSecOps process and values
* Knowledge of any additional programming languages is plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
