Job Description:
The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning's mission is to improve the quality of teaching, learning, and childcare. We research, develop, and scale educational innovations for adults and children that put all learners on trajectories for lifelong success. Specifically, the Center targets kindergarten readiness, 3rd grade reading proficiency, and algebra proficiency as critical milestones in children's educational trajectory that are predictive of success in school and life. Data Management, Programming, Reporting and Documentation
- Assist in the design, documentation, development, and execution of processes, protocols and systems to receive, collect, store, pull, clean/prepare, transform, and analyze data.
- Write and maintain scripts and cron jobs to automate recurring data tasks and streamline processes.
- Run and monitor routine and ad-hoc data pulls and prepare reports or data files for internal and external stakeholders while adhering to data security and privacy protocols.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and ETL pipelines.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for data processes including but not limited to: databases, data systems, workflows, scripts, data pipelines, cron jobs.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating data quality to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability, including but not limited to identifying and addressing missing data, inconsistencies, anomalies, and data integration issues that require conceptual reasoning and a combination of technical tools/approaches.
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, dissemination, program evaluation and research needs.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Support
- Support external data and reporting needs and work in collaboration with external partners.
- Serve as a liaison between their manager, cross-functional teams, and external partners to collaboratively fulfill data needs, define technical requirements, and support design, documentation and implementation/enhancement of data processes and systems for the initiative.

- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Python programming.
- Experience with Azure MySQL databases.
- Experience with DevOps and Containerization/Docker.
- Knowledge of working with a Linux-based processing server.
- Experience with cron jobs to automate the flow of data.
- Experience with large-scale data, data infrastructure and data visualization..Familiarity with data analysis techniques such as descriptive statistics is a plus..Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
