Business Analyst – Mobile Applications

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support an existing mobile application program focused on field operations. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, manage backlogs, support agile ceremonies, and help shape future roadmap initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for UI/UX and experience working within structured, consensus-driven organizations.


Core Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Meet with stakeholders and end users to understand business needs and translate them into clear, validated requirements.

  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation to feed the development backlog.

Stakeholder Alignment

  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of objectives, dependencies, and expected outcomes.

  • Present updates through status decks, analytics reports, and ad hoc communications to leadership.

Backlog & Change Management

  • Maintain and groom the product backlog, monitor progress, and manage requirement changes throughout the project lifecycle.

Scrum & Agile Support

  • Support agile ceremonies, ensuring stories are prioritized, sprint-ready, and properly executed through delivery and testing.

Process Analysis & Improvement

  • Evaluate current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and design enhanced workflows or system enhancements with the technical team.

Prioritization & Planning

  • Prioritize features and requests based on business value, strategic alignment, and resource constraints.

Application Development

  • No hands-on coding.

Code Review & QA

  • No code review; minimal participation in release validation and smoke testing as needed.

Technical Design & Architecture Input

  • Not required; may provide limited feedback as expertise grows.


First 90 Days – Expected Deliverables

  • Gain full familiarity with Field Operations Mobile offerings and the 2026 roadmap vision.

  • Support major discovery efforts by helping the team document requirements, workflows, and priorities for upcoming initiatives.

Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in Business Analysis, PMO, consulting, or mobile application support roles (preferred).
