IT Finance Manager

Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 7+ Months [November 1, 2025 June 30, 2026] | One (1) year renewal term not to exceed 12 months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Finance Manager to support the financial operations of large-scale IT initiatives for a state government client in Tallahassee, Florida.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, state budget processes, and IT cost planning, with demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and driving financial accountability across departments.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze IT financial conditions and provide recommendations to senior IT leadership.

  • Prepare and present financial statements, monthly budgets, and summary reports.

  • Review and approve deliverables tied to contract and purchase order payments.

  • Develop financial metrics and conduct periodic compliance reviews.

  • Oversee standard accounting practices, reconciliations, and consistent financial reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, and internal policy requirements.

  • Create process documentation, user guides, and self-service financial resources.

  • Implement automated financial reporting and feedback collection systems.

  • Drive continuous improvement workflows and track financial process enhancements.

  • Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting deliverables.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership.


Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5 7 years of financial management experience, including budgeting, cost analysis, and financial statement oversight.

  • Experience managing teams responsible for financial analysis and reporting.

  • Experience with Florida Statewide Financial Management Systems.

  • Knowledge of Florida legislative budget and appropriations processes.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive organizational change.
