Responsibilities:

• Analyze system data volumes and identify data eligible for archiving.
• Develop data archiving strategies and roadmaps to optimize storage and performance.
• Coordinate with business and technical teams to define archiving requirements and timelines.
• Configure SAP archiving objects and parameters.
• Define selection criteria, retention periods, and deletion rules.
• Experience with Bolton tools like SAP PBS and Dolphin Archiving and ILM Tools
• Experience in Data Volume Management and Archiving in the areas of Technical Data (BC), Order-to-cash, Procure-to-Pay, Finance, Controlling, Logistics Execution, Global Trade Services, Extended Warehouse Management etc
• Configure ILM policies to automate data lifecycle management.
• Schedule and execute archiving jobs.
• Monitor archiving processes and address any issues or errors.
• Analyze archiving logs and reports to identify optimization opportunities.
• Perform post-archiving activities, such as data deletion and index optimization.
• Ensure compliance with data retention policies and legal requirements.
• Manage data retention periods and deletion schedules.
• Implement data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information.
• Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks caused by data volume.
• Implement strategies to improve system performance and reduce storage costs.
• Optimize database indexes and query performance.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of SAP data archiving concepts and tools.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP data archiving.
• Hands-on experience with ILM and data retention policies.
• Hands on experience with BI tools like MS-PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Tableau and Incorta etc
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
