Role Overview:
As the Director of Acute Care Applications, you will lead the strategic vision and execution for clinical information systems across acute care and ambulatory surgery centers. Your mission is to align cutting-edge technology with organizational goals, driving operational efficiency, patient-centered care, and seamless clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Leadership: Define and execute strategies for implementing, optimizing, and supporting clinical applications.
- Innovation & Scalability: Evaluate emerging technologies, lead system enhancements, and ensure interoperability to support data-driven healthcare.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT leaders to enhance workflows and maximize system performance.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous innovation through automation, AI-powered analytics, and user-centered design.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure regulatory adherence (HIPAA, DNV, ISO), data protection, and secure application architecture.
- Project Excellence: Oversee multiple high-impact initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of enterprise solutions.
- Proven Leadership: 5-8 years of experience in healthcare IT, including 3-5 years in a director-level leadership role.
- Clinical Technology Expertise: Deep knowledge of EMRs, physician practice software, healthcare interoperability (FHIR, HL7), and cloud-based solutions.
- AI & Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience leveraging machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation tools to improve patient care.
- Scalable System Design: Ability to implement future-ready, cost-effective solutions optimizing clinical workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement across technical, clinical, and business teams.
- Preferred Certification: CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems).
