EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc
JOB TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
DUTIES: Lead the technology development as a member of the software engineer team, as part of an Agile scrum team assigned to work on the project. Design, code, test, debug, and documents software, and enhance existing components to ensure that software meets business needs. Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and should be able to clearly articulate the implications of design and architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership. Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will enable team velocity. Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside the scrum team. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a technology-related
occupation. Position requires 2 years of experience in the following:
Java and React UI framework;
Kafka messaging and GraphQL;
HealthCare IT;
SQL Server and Snowflake;
RabbitMQ;
Spring Boot;
Kubernetes;
Google Cloud Platform cluster, AWS, Azure and DevOps; and
Microservice Architecture.
RATE OF PAY: $140,090.00 - $191,520.00/year
