Job Description
The Opportunity: Join BAE Systems' Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who supports the U.S Navy's Strategic System Program. We are searching for an IT System Administrator to join the IT Operations team supporting classified digital design environments working on-site at Washington Navy Yard.

The Role: In this role supporting the customer's digital design environment, you will:
  • On-board and Off-board users, including Active Directory, Email, and core applications
  • Assist in the day-to-day support of a classified digital design environment to include support for classified servers, terminals, printers, and networking infrastructure
  • Provide tier I/II support for a classified digital design environment. Investigate and troubleshoot issues through to resolution
  • Perform patching of operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and analyze environment health and provide incident response and resolution support
  • Assist in the development, testing, modification, and administration of virtualized server environments and related applications/systems as needed, including VM provisioning, clustering, and Patch Management
  • Support the day-to-day administration in a Microsoft Active Directory environment, including administration and analysis of Account Provisioning services
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, must be capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
To be successful in this position requires:
  • An active Secret DoD Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret DoD Clearance
  • An IAT II certificate as specified in the DoD 8570
    • OR have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree and meet the requirements for a DoD 8570 IAT II certificate within 6 months of start date
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer's facility, and a network account in good standing on the customer's network
  • Working full-time on-site at Washington Navy Yard
  • Availability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting servers (RHEL and Windows)
  • Experience with Active Directory Account Management and Group Policy
  • Working knowledge of Linux
  • Working knowledge of bash and PowerShell

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Current Security +CE
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Experience with VMWare

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
