We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Database Administrator to become an integral part of our Lynx Engineering team which is instrumental in developing and optimizing our healthcare SaaS technology inventory management system and analytics solution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development and a passion for advancing healthcare technology. As a Database Administrator, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to administer critical databases that are crucial to our applications in turn clients' success and the advancement of healthcare technology.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle databases across on-prem, Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Azure cloud (including OCI Exadata Database Service).
- Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and automation tools for database lifecycle management-deployment, patching, upgrades, backup, scale, and disaster recovery-on both hardware and cloud platforms.
- Optimize and monitor high-performance OLTP and data warehousing workloads for reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for database architecture, SQL optimization, and compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
- Troubleshoot incidents and coordinate root-cause analysis in hybrid and multi-cloud Exadata environments.
- Automate routine processes using shell scripts and cloud APIs to improve service reliability.
- Provision, monitor, and secure Oracle Exadata databases on OCI, Azure, and ODB@A platforms, working across VM, bare metal, and cloud-consumed infrastructure.
- Manage customer-owned (VM OS, grid, database) and Oracle-managed areas, maintaining separation of duties in cloud platforms.
- Ensure business continuity by using Data Guard, GoldenGate, and cloud-native backup/recovery strategies.
- Implement and manage unified auditing and fine-grained auditing policies for the Oracle Database, including auditing privileged user activities, sensitive data access, DDL, and DML changes for compliance with SOX, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations.
- Use native tools to assess risks, monitor database activities, generate audit records, and produce compliance reports.
- Apply security controls such as hardening VM and OS environments, ensuring minimal service exposure, SSH/network controls, boot protections, file encryption, and separation of administrative roles.
- Respond to security incidents by analyzing audit trails and logs; supporting investigations and forensic analysis as needed.
- Professionals in this role will ensure secure, compliant, efficient, and high-performance Oracle database operations-on-premises, on Exadata hardware, and in the cloud-while supporting the organization's regulatory, business continuity, and security objectives.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in relational database architecture and administration.
- Database Expertise: Proven ability to manage and administer multiple relational database systems, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL.
- Cloud Platforms: Demonstrated experience deploying and managing databases in Azure and AWS cloud environments.
- 5+ years' experience as a Production Support DBA.
- 5+ years of Deep, hands-on experience with Oracle Database (on-prem and cloud), Exadata, OEM, ODB@A, cloud automation, and scripting.
- Expertise in cloud lifecycle, VM technologies, backup/recovery automation, performance monitoring, and database tuning in enterprise and hybrid environments.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, auditing standards, database security products, and audit reporting.
- Experience working in an agile team.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills for working with technical and compliance teams.
- Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies (active mgmt.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
