Program Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager with a strong background in program planning, strategic road mapping, and executive-level communication. The ideal candidate will bring a consulting-oriented mindset, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate as a true driver-delivering results with minimal oversight. This role is highly visible, requiring strong presentation and risk management capabilities. Telecom experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain program-level roadmaps and strategic plans for large-scale technology initiatives
* Develop and manage program artifacts including governance frameworks, budgets, resourcing plans, and executive status updates
* Present program progress, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
* Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues; Manage escalation when necessary
* Facilitate decision-making across cross-functional teams and drive alignment with business objectives
* Manage change requests, assess impact, and update plans, presentations, and stakeholder communications accordingly
* Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers, business analysts, and QA team members to ensure accountability and collaboration
* Adapt program management approach to fit Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of IT Program Management experience, ideally within consulting firms such as Deloitte, Accenture, Slalom, or similar
* Proven expertise in road mapping, program planning, and stakeholder communications (slide decks, executive presentations, risk/issue logs)
* Strong track record of risk and issue management in complex IT environments
* Skilled at operating in high-pressure environments with limited direction
* Experience working across both Agile (Jira/Kanban) and traditional Waterfall methodologies

Preferred Skills:
* PMP or equivalent Program Management certification
* Telecom industry experience, particularly in mobile transformation initiatives
* Familiarity with AI integrations into backend systems
* Consulting experience in telecom or large-scale technology sectors

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
