Senior Principal Electrical Engineer - Work Lead

Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. We work closely with designers, cross-functional teams within Dell Technologies and suppliers to make sure electronic designs meet a range of requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality and quality, as well as industry standards.

The responsibilities of this position include managing the engineering and technical program management of Dell client graphics programs. This role exists within the graphics engineering team within Dell End User Computing (EUC), which is accountable for the engineering development and sustaining of all integrated and add-in graphics cards.

Our team focuses on the delivery of Graphics solutions in all client products or computer-based systems for external customers. We lead and deliver the entire graphics lifecycle from product definition and planning through to production and release and through sustaining.

What you'll achieve

As a Senior Principal Electrical Engineering Work Lead, you will get opportunities to manage high-complexity products through the entire lifecycle. You will drive the graphics solution and release readiness and gather best practices from across portfolios and business units. Moreover, you will collaborate with and mentor your team members in designing program management practices.

You will:
  • Lead and supervise a team responsible for delivering graphics engineering solutions and managing multiple technical programs for Dell client platforms
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities and communication with internal teams, external partners, and global development centers to support business objectives and program deliverables
  • Establish and implement strategies, processes, and initiatives to enable competitive graphics solutions and achieve Time-To-Market goals
  • Manage technical relationships with graphics vendors and ODM partners, resolving hardware, software, and firmware issues as the escalation contact and engineering subject matter expert
  • Monitor progress against key metrics, provide regular status updates, and offer guidance on problem resolution and scheduling for product issues

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 12-15+ years of leadership experience in technical engineering teams
  • Demonstrate strong technical leadership, program management, and expertise in hardware NPI design and problem-solving
  • Excel at driving cross-functional teams, managing suppliers and technology partners, and resolving issues quickly
  • Display advanced strategic thinking, effective communication, and the ability to influence senior management and executives
  • Show unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills

Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in GPU/CPU/PCIE technology, board design is a plus
  • Understanding of and familiarity with the ODM development model

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $166,000 - $215,000.
