About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join our IT team in New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting our company's network infrastructure. You'll play a critical role in ensuring high availability, security, and performance of enterprise network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud network infrastructure.

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

  • Manage firewall, VPN, and network security configurations.

  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, and other networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).

  • Implement network solutions based on business needs, including scaling, optimization, and redundancy.

  • Conduct regular network performance assessments and generate reports.

  • Maintain up-to-date network documentation and standard operating procedures.

  • Work closely with the cybersecurity team to address network vulnerabilities and threats.

  • Provide Level 2/3 support and coordinate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and network security practices.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network platforms.

  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

  • CCNA, CCNP, or similar certifications preferred.
