RF Design Engineer
Location: Houston TX
Work Setup: Hybrid

Join a leading force in wireless telecommunications as an RF Design Engineer, where you'll support critical initiatives for macro and small cell deployments. This role is perfect for professionals with a strong foundation in RF design and Atoll, looking to play a key part in advancing next-generation wireless networks.

RF Design Engineer Responsibilities
  • Develop polygons and search rings based on capacity or modification needs for small cell clusters and macro solutions.
  • Review site hardware configurations and propose necessary modifications.
  • Update and maintain Atoll with new nodes, changes, translations, power settings, and activations.
  • Collaborate with system performance teams and project managers to finalize designs and regulatory submissions.
  • Create and manage Fuze projects with required documentation for Telecommunication Real Estate.
  • Participate in candidate reviews, site walks, and implementation meetings.
  • Assign Cell IDs and PCIs, and initiate internal build processes through CQ.
  • Submit accurate E911 documentation and monitor CART tool for compliance.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies between As-Built data and design specifications.
  • Ensure FCC and RF safety compliance through tools such as IXUS and RAVE.
  • Coordinate with project management, real estate, and construction teams on design execution and issue resolution.

RF Design Engineer Qualifications
  • 3+ years of RF Design experience, specifically with macro modifications, small cell builds, and C-Band.
  • Expert in Atoll: creating new sites, modifying existing sites, and adding carriers.
  • Solid knowledge of FCC compliance and RF safety regulations.
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent RF Engineering experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Familiarity with tools such as Fuze SPM, Conquest, Canvas, and SPM Reporting.
  • Experience using IXUS or other EME safety reporting platforms.
  • Proficiency in MapInfo or ArcGIS for RF mapping and presentations.
  • Understanding of 5G and C-Band spectrum technologies.
