Job Details

Network Engineer
Location: Full-time/On-site at Quantico, VA
Clearance: TS/SCI


Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, operate, and maintain network equipment such as cable, switches, routers, firewalls, network monitoring devices, and network management platforms.
  • Identify and analyze network
  • Provide network engineering and technical services on AFOSI operational enclaves, AFOSI to AFNET points of presence and local testing network.
  • Build and implement network solutions, install, and maintain network equipment, and troubleshoot/resolve network issues.
  • Develop and maintain network baseline documentation in accordance with configuration management standards.

Qualifications:
  • 5 years experience in IT with at least three years experience in network engineering/administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field desired.
  • Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II).
  • Cisco certification desired.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), SolarWinds is a plus.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining network equipment with thorough knowledge of routers and switches.
  • Experience with C isco Multilayer network routers and switches.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Juniper SRX and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management using an automated solution.
  • Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
  • Extensive experience with security as it pertains to network architecture, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
  • Able to provide technical guidance and direction to system administrators and help desk technicians.
  • Experience with USAF IT environment and networks desired.
  • Must have good communication skills and an ability to conceptualize network infrastructures.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team and interact professionally within all levels of an organization.
