We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Automation Engineer to lead and drive quality assurance initiatives across enterprise-scale applications. This role demands a forward-thinking engineer who combines deep test automation expertise with modern AI/AGI capabilities, DevOps practices, and test data strategies. You will architect automation frameworks, enable intelligent testing solutions, and ensure continuous delivery pipelines are robust and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, and Cucumber.
  • Integrate Generative AI (GenAI) and AGI models to improve test automation process, increase test coverage and reduce manual effort.
  • Lead API and microservices testing efforts, including contract testing, mocking, and service virtualization.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts across multiple platforms and tech stacks using Java, C#, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, and TypeScript.
  • Build and optimize test data strategies including test data mining, synthetic data generation, and querying relational/NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Use Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and execute automated tests in containerized and orchestrated environments.
  • Drive test reporting and observability using tools like Allure, Extent Reports, Power BI, and custom dashboards.
  • Partner with development, product, and enterprise quality teams to adopt AI-assisted testing solutions and promote test automation best practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or relevant and equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software QA and test automation.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/GenAI-based test generation or automation optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of web automation, API testing, and service virtualization tools.
  • Solid programming experience in at least two modern languages (Java, C#, Python, JS).
  • Proficient in CI/CD tooling, test integration, and cloud-native testing approaches.
  • Familiar with containerized test execution using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and advanced query writing for test data needs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Any application development experience in web, mobile, or API.
  • Experience with visual testing using Applitools or equivalent.
  • Exposure to non-functional testing (performance, load, accessibility).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and cloud testing (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform).
  • Prior involvement in developing AI-powered quality engineering tools or agents.

Work-At-Home Requirements
  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$97,900 - $133,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
