Kratos Microwave, Inc., a Kratos' company, is looking for a Program Manager, level 2, to work onsite at their San Jose, CA location.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Manager position will be onsite at the San Jose location and manages the development and implementation process of KMI's products and services. Coordinates departmental teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints. This role is most common in a matrix type organization; it does not have responsibility over product development, but often requires a technical background in order to complete its overall project management responsibility. This job manages specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance, if needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Develops professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required.

Works on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems.

Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Builds productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions.

Focuses on providing standard professional advice and creating initial reports/analyzes for review by experienced team professionals.

Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Experience and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to obtain Security Clearance, if needed.

Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the Essential Job Functions, including computer skills.

Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.

Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2-5 years of operations, materials management or a technical role within the defense microelectronics industry preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office and/or manufacturing environment.

Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).

Word Environment/Physical Requirements:

Office, production/manufacturing environments.

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

Standing, walking, bending and reaching.

Maybe required to lift up to 20 pounds.

Travel Requirements: Yes, if needed.
