Transportation Engineer - ( 250001ZQ )
Description
Transportation Engineer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; New York, NY): Conduct transportation planning studies by summarizing and analyzing traffic data, such as traffic counts, speeds and queue length. Prepare dashboards or graphical user interfaces to visualize traffic data for traffic operations analysis and traffic impact studies. Modify, develop, and maintain regional travel demand models. Perform toll road feasibility studies and assist in developing toll rates based on drivers' responses to tolls for express lane facilities. Develop and maintain computer scripts to download large sets of traffic data from public sources and databases to support traffic data collection and data analysis. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). The salary range is $97,757 - $137,200 per year. #LI-DNI #GTM
Qualifications
Requirements:
Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning and Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning and Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Mining traffic data using R and Python; Creating dashboards to visualize traffic data using Tableau, ArcGIS, and Power BI; Developing and maintaining databases using SQL; Creating and modifying travel
demand models using TransCAD and Cube; and Analyzing toll rates and their impact on traffic volumes for tolled express lane facilities.
Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineer license.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week, depending on business need.
Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
