Position Title: Profitability Analyst 2

Business Unit: Finance

Reports to: Varies by Assignment

Position Overview:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide management with profitability reporting and analytics. The Profitability Analyst 2 plays a key role in the generation, presentation, and analysis of profitability methodologies and results by formally studying, developing, recording, interpreting, documenting and communicating the allocation and assignment of revenues and expenses. As part of a team responsible for overall profitability reporting, this position also performs general profitability analysis support.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains activity-based costs and other income and expense allocations and assignments in the profitability system. Performs rate reviews annually and implements other rate updates as determined by management. Maintains system configuration tables in the profitability system.

Documents clearly allocation and assignment methodologies, process and system requirements and maintains training materials. Communicates results using sound written and verbal communication skills.

Processes monthly data, produces reports and verifies results.

Serves as a point of contact for the profitability group for analytical requests from Finance personnel and profitability system stakeholders using business intelligence and costing software to deliver results and analytics as needed.

Plans and performs cost center time studies or surveys as determined by management to record current activities related to servicing customers or products.

Creates and maintains cost center work papers to reflect current product, process and rate relationships within processing centers.

Performs profitability system training and assists the organization's interpretation of profitability results as needed.

Assists in the development and deployment of code to reflect new or updated costing and revenue allocation methodologies.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

SAS and/or SQL programming experience preferred

Programming experience in other languages acceptable
