Role: Mobile Product Manager

Location: New York, NY (Local Only)
Type: Independent Contractor
Duration: Long-term Contract

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Product Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of a mobile-first white-label app framework. The role involves building a reusable, multi-tenant mobile framework with brand- and region-specific configurations, integrating through a Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layer built in Java Spring Boot and GraphQL.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical fluency in mobile ecosystems (NativeScript, iOS, Android), excellent product leadership skills, and experience delivering scalable, data-driven mobile products.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Define and drive the mobile-first white-label product vision.
Prioritize MVP modules: Login, Dashboard, Accounts Overview, Holdings, Transactions, Performance, Documents.
Build a phased roadmap including GenAI, analytics, accessibility.
Translate business goals into clear technical requirements.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate with Mobile Architecture & Engineering for seamless integration.
Manage multi-brand, multi-region release plans.
Oversee Figma-based UX implementation and design reviews.
Lead agile ceremonies: grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives.

BFF & API Integration

Define requirements for the BFF layer (Java Spring Boot, GraphQL).
Ensure API integration, architectural alignment, and security compliance.
Partner with QA to define acceptance criteria and validation workflows.

Analytics, Accessibility & GenAI

Define analytics/telemetry strategy (Firebase, Mixpanel, Adobe Analytics).
Ensure compliance with WCAG/ADA accessibility standards.
Identify GenAI-driven enhancements (personalization, chat, smart content).

Stakeholder Management

Act as liaison with business, engineering, and design stakeholders.
Present product updates and metrics to leadership.
Maintain comprehensive documentation (epics, user stories, release notes).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

10 15 years of Product Management experience, including 5+ years in mobile.
Expertise in NativeScript, iOS/Android, React Native, or Flutter.
Strong understanding of Java Spring Boot, GraphQL, REST, BFF architectures.
Experience with white-label or multi-tenant mobile products.
Knowledge of JS/TS, mobile CI/CD, analytics tools.
Familiar with Figma, CMS platforms, cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
Exposure to Generative AI (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini).
Excellent communication, leadership, and agile delivery skills.

Preferred:

Experience in enterprise-scale mobile or financial services apps.
Background in design systems, accessibility, AI features.
CSPO or Agile Product Management certification.
