Who You Are:
You thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment and are committed to delivering best-in-class products and solutions. You have an innovative mindset, and capable of finding solutions to complex engineering challenges.

You have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 2 years of professional experience, a Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

You currently hold a Top Secret clearance.

The Work:
We are in search of an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Engineering Professional, your responsibilities will include:

Contributing to the creation of design solutions that address complex engineering problems across the full software cycle.

Developing operational scenarios, system requirements and architectures based on the customer's goals and contractual requirements.

Incrementally developing the product design and delivery optimization requirements. Act as a core member of a multi-disciplinary team that represents all capabilities, directly supporting software development and integration activities for the program.

Developing functional, architectural, and detailed designs. Incrementally develops design to provide added or updated functionality based on operational scenarios and customer requirements.

Managing key aspects of the technical implementation of the program, by collaborating across disciplines to ensure that technical parameters, interfaces, and assumptions are consistent, and interfacing with stakeholders (e.g., engineering, technical staff, client) to ensure program goals are met.

Orchestrating cross-functional collaboration to ensure best practices and domain knowledge are shared.

Performing obsolescence analysis for current/future hardware solutions.

Supporting and providing guidance on operations and maintenance, including definition and communication of complete test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities.

Working cross-functionally to analyze, test and iterate technical requirements, user stories and operations concepts. Provide technical direction and clarification of requirements within the team.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree with 2 years of professional experience, a Masters degree or equivalent experience/combined education.
Security Clearance required Prior to Start: Top Secret
Experience developing system, hardware, and performance requirements
Experience performing software and/or systems integration and testing
Ability to work in a rapid paced, Agile development environment
Experience in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution
Proven ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment

Desired skills

Experience developing system interfaces and architectures
Experience working within a System Development Life Cycle
Experience with SolidWorks EPDM, Cameo Systems Modeler, JIRA, DOORS
Experience with 3D Modeling software (CATIA, Solidworks, etc)
Agile Experience (Product Owner, Scrum Master)
Experience working with vendors
Experience working with internal and external customers
Methodical approach to problem solving
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability/willingness to travel to vendors or test events
Experience utilizing Operating Systems & Environments

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
