Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance various applications impacting multiple jurisdictions.
- Improve existing codebase to enhance performance and functionality.
- Engage in daily stand-up meetings with the development team following Agile methodology.
Requirements:
- Intermediate to Senior level Python development experience (4-5 years) with a focus on server-side development.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and experience with Flask framework.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular or JavaScript.
- Background in finance, particularly knowledge of investment banking industry and regulatory reporting terminology.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Experience with object databases like MongoDB or NoSQL.
- Comfortable working predominantly on backend (70%) but also capable with front-end (30%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full-stack development experience with a backend focus.
- Additional knowledge of regulatory reporting processes.
- Proficiency in Angular or JavaScript for front-end development.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Understanding of multithreading concepts.
- Familiarity with design patterns.
- Ability to write unit tests in Python for code quality assurance.
