Job Description:

We need a digital accessibility analyst/tester to assist with a large backlog of testing requests in our queue. We also have the fast-approaching deadline for agency conformance to the Department of Justice Title II Rule, which requires state websites and mobile applications to be accessible to people with disabilities by April 24, 2026. Due to this new rule, there is also more interest by agencies in making their digital documents (PDFs, etc.) accessible to people with disabilities, which has resulted in more inquiries for guidance and best practices.

Required:

  • Certified as a DHS Trusted Tester.
  • Experience assessing web applications for accessibility standards conformance
  • Experience assessing mobile applications for accessibility standards conformance
  • Experience reporting assessment results to responsible parties, utilizing a standard process and reporting format.
  • Experience responding to testing result inquiries, explaining test findings and providing guidance as to what issues are and how to address them
  • Experience assessing digital documents for accessibility conformance
  • Experience administering and utilizing enterprise-level accessibility testing and monitoring tools (Siteimprove, Deque axe Monitor, Level Access Platform, Level Access AMP, etc)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience delivering live or recorded digital accessibility training
  • Experience serving as a digital accessibility subject matter expert, providing guidance, information, and resources to interested parties.
  • Experience determining tools, training, and resources, required to achieve digital accessibility conformance.
